Procurement
Contract Strategy - Execution‑ready, assurance‑grade.
I design contracts you can build and audit. From NEC/JCT/FIDIC and bespoke forms to risk allocation and pricing models, I ensure the contract aligns with your project’s scope, programme, and risk appetite.

Short Procurement Strategy
Route-to-Market & Strategy
What I do: Select the optimal approach (open, restricted, framework, two-stage, alliancing) and build a clear timeline with stage gates.
How it helps: Speeds mobilisation, widens competition where it counts, and locks risk where it belongs.
Deliverables: Procurement Strategy & Plan, Approval paper, Risk/Opportunity register
Package & Scope Strategy (Make/Buy)
What I do: Define package boundaries, interfaces, and responsibilities; decide self-perform vs. subcontract; structure lots to attract the best tier supply.
How it helps: Prevents scope gaps/overlaps, reduces claims, enables competitive tension.
Deliverables: Package tree & RACI, Interface matrix, Draft scopes & BoQs.
Market Engagement & Tendering
What I do: Soft-market testing, EOI/PQQ, bidder long/short-list, and high-quality ITT/RFP packs (technical, commercial, ESG).
How it helps: Increases qualified bids, improves pricing quality, de-risks delivery capacity.
Deliverables: PQQ/ITT, Q&A protocol, Bidder briefing deck, Clarifications log.

Evaluation, Assurance & Negotiation
What I do: Weighted evaluation models (price/quality/risk), commercial normalisation, and structured negotiations targeting value, risk, and performance.
How it helps: Transparent award decisions and durable savings without hidden trade-offs.
Deliverables: Evaluation matrix, Negotiation plan & minutes, Recommendation to award.
Contracting & Handover
What I do: Convert agreed positions into clean NEC/JCT/FIDIC contracts; align KPIs/SLAs, pricing and risk flow-downs; stand up mobilisation with a live obligations register and owner-by-owner actions.
How it helps: Fewer disputes and variations, faster mobilisation, clear accountability for notices, programme, payment and change, so delivery starts clean and stays controlled.
Deliverables: Executed contract pack (Contract Data/ERs/SoW, Z-clauses), Obligations & Notices register, KPI/SLA schedule, Risk & flow-down matrix, Mobilisation checklist, Commercial procedures (valuation, CE/variation, pay-less), Induction brief for PM/QS teams.
Supplier Performance & SRM
What I do: Establish governance cadences, dashboards, and improvement plans; manage incentives, remedies, and recompetitions; drive continuous improvement across safety, cost, schedule, and quality.
How it helps: Sustains value beyond award-predictable delivery, healthier cash, transparent performance and fewer claims.
Deliverables: SRM framework & RACI, KPI/QBR pack and live dashboard, Performance improvement plans, Incentive/remedy playbook (bonuses, LDs, service credits), Contract review calendar, Lessons-learned log and renewal/exit strategy.
What procurement model works best for fast-track data-centre projects?
A hybrid approach. Use target-cost with pain/gain for complex, interface-heavy MEP; lump-sum for well-defined civils/architectural lots; and frameworks for repeatable packages. Split long-lead items (switchgear, chillers, containment) into early awards, and run a two-stage process (RFI shortlist → RFP) to preserve speed without sacrificing competition.
